Fat and nasty oils are high on the food could damage the metabolic system. Keep in mind that the food was quite popular everyday matter, oil content can trigger diabetes.
This was revealed in a study in the Journal of Clinical Investigation. The study involved 14 healthy men aged 20-40 years, which is partly fed a diet of oil and the rest was just drinking water.
The share of oil given to the first group has a saturated fat content equal to 8 slice of pepperoni pizza or cheeseburger 110 grams served with fries.
The results showed that the accumulation of fat directly in the group that consumed the oil. As a result, a decline in insulin sensitivity, a hormone which controls blood sugar levels.
The observations also showed elevated levels of triglycerides, one of the components of body fat are associated with risk of heart disease and blood vessels. Likewise, liver function, changes that lead to the risk of fatty liver disease.
"A plate of food as it may be enough to trigger a transient insulin resistance and impact on liver metabolism," says Prof. Michael Roden of the German Diabetes Center who conducted the study.
